Yaoyao is the first Dendro healer to join Genshin Impact. So, her healing is based on her HP. Having her on your team gives you a lot more options than you’ve ever had before. Since she doesn’t do much damage by herself, her best job is as a helper. But having a character who can heal and respond to Dendro in one package saves you a spot on your team. This Dendro figure is taking a look at some great spears, lances, and other weapons.
You have a lot of weapon choices for her, whether you play her as a backup or something else. Depending on what weapon you give her, she’ll put healing, attack power, and responses at the top of her list.
Black Tassel – Three-Star

The only polearm that has HP as its main number is the Black Tassel. Since it’s only three stars, it’s a cheap way to help Yaoyao heal. If you don’t have good HP items, you can replace them with ones that recharge energy and have her use Black Tassel. Depending on its level, it gives her an extra 10.2% to 49% more HP.
The only bad thing about it is that its passive isn’t very useful, since all it does is increase DMG by 40–80% against slimes, based on its refinement rank. Most likely, you’ll have at least one DPS on your team who can kill slimes faster than Yaoyao. Still, if you want her to heal more, the tool may be worth it just for its main stat.
Favonius Lance – Four-Star

Elemental Burst is the best way for Yaoyao to heal. Unlike her Elemental Skill, this one heals everyone on the team, which makes it a great last-minute tool. You’ll need a lot of Energy Recharge to use it properly, which is why the Favonius Lance is a good choice for her. Depending on its level, it gives her a 6–30.6% boost to her Energy Recharge.
Its passive means that when Yaoyao gets a critical hit, there is a 60% to 100% chance that energy particles will be made. But the good news is that you don’t have to worry too much about her CRIT Rate. Her Elemental Skill and Burst have her cute little companion hit foes for her, so you can use the passive even when you’re just running around.
The Catch – Four Star

The Catch is a great free polearm in general if you don’t mind fishing, and Yaoyao could use it well. Depending on Eggy Car level, it gives a 10–45.9% Energy Recharge, which is enough to meet most of Yaoyao’s Energy Recharge needs. Its passive also increases the damage of her Elemental Burst by 16–32% and its Critical Rate by 6–12%, depending on its polish rank.
The only problem with using The Catch on Yaoyao is that you can only have one of them, and it’s usually better to use it on characters like Xiangling or Raiden Shogun who focus more on DPS in their Elemental Bursts. But if you use Yaoyao a lot, it might be worth it.
Kitain Cross Spear – Four-Star

The Kitain Cross Spear is a good all-around choice for Yaoyao if you want a weapon that can be faked. Depending on its level, it gives between 24 and 110 points of Elemental Mastery, which is very useful for stronger elemental responses. Plus, it helps with Energy Recharge in a silent way. When her Elemental Skill hits an enemy, she will get three to five energy back every six seconds, depending on the polishing rank of the weapon.
The affect doesn’t require her to be on the field, so you can quickly switch her out after using her Elemental Skill. Kitain Cross Spear is a great free choice for Yaoyao because of all of these things.
Dragon’s Bane – Four-Star

Dragon’s Bane has a very high Elemental Mastery, so it’s a great choice if you want to focus Yaoyao’s power on elemental reactions. Depending on its level, it gives her 48 to 221 points of Elemental Mastery by itself. Also, if you focus on setting up Bloom or Burning reactions, it does even more damage from elemental reactions.
This is because its passive boosts DMG by 20–36% against enemies affected by Hydro or Pyro, depending on the rank of its refinement. Dragon’s Bane helps any elemental reaction that is built on Dendro, but especially ones that involve Hydro or Pyro.
Staff Of The Scarlet Sands – Five-Star

Yes, Yaoyao’s best job is to help. But that doesn’t mean that’s the only thing she could play. This is what makes Genshin Impact so great. If you want to use her more as a DPS, the Staff of Scarlet Sands will help her a lot. It’s Cyno’s signature tool, but she’s pretty good with it too.
Depending on its level, it will give her an extra 9–44.1% CRIT Rate, and its passive will turn 52–104% of her Elemental Mastery into ATK, depending on its polish rank. When her Elemental Skill hits an enemy, she also gets an extra 28–56 percent of her Elemental Mastery as extra ATK. With this weapon, you can make both her elemental reactions and her normal hits very powerful.
